PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police say a person is in custody after a deadly stabbing unfolded on a SEPTA station platform Monday morning.
The incident occurred shortly before 9 a.m. on the westbound platform of Somerset Station on SEPTA’s Market-Frankford Line.
SEPTA Police say the victim, a 30-year-old man, was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigators released surveillance photos of the suspect who was taken into custody and identified by police sources as Alexander Morales, 43.
According to sources, a Philadelphia Police officer saw & stopped Morales at 11:58 a.m. on the 1800 block of East Monmouth Street and arrested him.
Police have since said a person is now in custody, and a weapon has been recovered.
The incident and ensuing police activity at the station prompted trains heading westbound to bypass the station for a portion of the morning.
