Snow in Philadelphia this weekend? Forecast, timeline

Snow started the week, but will snow end the week?

It will remain dry throughout the region while a system approaches late Friday. It will form in the Gulf Friday and run up the coast Saturday morning, but move off the shoreline by late Saturday morning. The region may see a light dusting of snow and, perhaps, up to two inches. The FOX 29 Weather Authority will continue to monitor the system.

TIMING SNOW

  • Friday night, early Saturday morning, a system will form in the Gulf of Mexico and slide north up the coastline.
  • Early Saturday morning we should see snow showers, with some possible accumulation, possibly up to two inches.
  • Snow ends by Saturday afternoon.

COLD FOR THE WEEK

Meanwhile, it is cold and will remain frigid the rest of the week.

At the bus stop tomorrow, dress those kids very warmly, as wind chills will be in the teens and single digits through 11 a.m. and only into the teens for everyone in the afternoon.
