HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. (WTXF) - A once stray pit bull is getting a new "leash" on life after completing her training to become a narcotics detection dog.
FOX 29's Bill Anderson first brought you the story of Wildflower the dog earlier this year.
The pit bull was found wandering the streets of South Carolina as a stray. After she was picked up, shelter employees saw Wildflower's potential.

So, the shelter reached out to the folks at the 'Throw Away Dogs Project' based in Huntingdon Valley.
The rescue worked to give Wildflower the second chance, putting her through narcotics detection training.
Now, Wildflower will be working at a police department in Oklahoma, proving that no dog is a throwaway dog!
