Student arrested and charged with possessing child pornography

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WTXF) - A West Chester University student has been arrested and charged with possessing child pornography, among other charges.

Ryan Davis, a 21-year-old from Thornbury, Pennsylvania, was charged May 31 with transporting, receiving and being in possession of more than 600 images and videos of children in various sexually explicit situations.

The charges stem from an investigation into Davis' online activities, including the use of a Dropbox account and other accounts.

Should Davis be convicted, he faces a possible sentence of 60 years. That would include a mandatory 5-year minimum imprisonment and $750,000 in fines.
