Man arrested in connection with crash that killed pregnant woman
A man was arrested in Philadelphia for a crash that claimed the life of a woman and her unborn baby in Montgomery County last month.
PHILADELPHIA - A man was arrested in Philadelphia for a crash that claimed the life of a young woman and her unborn baby in Montgomery County last month.
U.S. Marshals say Jabrial Terry, 27, was taken into custody on the 7300 block of Sommers Road on Tuesday, nearly a month after a criminal complaint was filed.
He was wanted in connection to the May 4 crash that killed 24-year-old Nya Janae Stokes, who was nine months pregnant at the time.
Her baby, who officials say was delivered alive after the crash, died five days later.

Officials say a clear sandwich bag and medication bottle containing marijuana were found inside the suspect's car, along with a significant amount of cash, the night of the crash.
At the hospital, medical personnel also discovered numerous pills hidden in his groin area, including 39 Oxycodone, 45 Xanax and eight buprenorphine/naxolone pills.
Fentanyl, oxycodone, Benzodiazepines and cannabinoids were also found in his system, officials say.
Terry is charged with Homicide by Vehicle–DUI, HBV, Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Aggravated Assault by Vehicle–DUI, REAP, DUI, Accidents Involving Death or Injury While Not Licensed, Fraudulent Title and Registration and numerous other charges.
