TAMPA (FOX 13) - T-Mobile is in the process of notifying customers who are impacted by a recent data breach, FOX Business reports.
The company said the data breach did not expose any financial information, but hackers were able to access customer details such as names, billing zip codes, email addresses, phone numbers and account data. About two million customers were impacted.
T-Mobile said they learned of the breach on August 20 and shut it down. FOX Business reports the company is in the process of notifying customers affected by the breach.
"We take the security of your information very seriously and have a number of safeguards in place to protect your personal information from unauthorized access," the company said in a Twitter message to customers. "We truly regret that this incident occurred and are so sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you."
