Teacher's colorful way to get her class to behave

TACOMA, Wash. (WTXF/STORYFUL) - Teachers rewarding students for good behavior or learning gains is nothing new, but this is something we found unusual.

A fourth-grade teacher in Tacoma, Washington, was dealt with an unruly class of children.

Luckily, she came up with a brilliant idea: letting the kids choose the color of her hair if they followed a set of rules that rewarded good behavior.

This weekend, the teacher posted about her students and the lengths she went to get them to behave.

She wrote that she told the class when they reach "2,000 points," they could dye her hair whatever color they wanted.

She expected the class to take an entire school year, but was shocked when they reached 2,000 points in a mere three months.

The class chose the color "fire" over "rainbow."
