Teen arrested for online threat against Chester schools

Chester Police say they've arrested a 17-year-old girl who was allegedly behind an online threat overnight.

The threat was made on Instagram and Facebook, according to authorities.

According to police, the alleged threat said someone was going to shoot up schools in Chester Upland School District, The Community Charter School and Chichester High School.

It said, "I'm coming tomorrow shooting up every Chester Upland School District School, Chester Community Charter School (Both), and Chichester High School as well "all blacks must die."

The message included multiple gun emojis as well as a knife emoji.

Chester Police teamed up with County and Federal agencies including the FBI and traced the threat to a house on the 1300 block of Harshaw Road in Chester Township.

Police say the 17-year-old was visiting for a sleepover.
