HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Less than a week after defensive tackle Devon Still signed a contract with the Houston Texans, he has announced on his social media platforms that his young daughter Leah has beaten cancer following more than 100 days of treatments and a seven-hour surgery.
The Texans signed Still to a one-year minimum futures contract worth $675,000 on Wednesday. The agreement means that Still will join the team for the 2016 season. Off the field, Still is known widely on his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts for his support of Leah through her struggle with cancer. His efforts made the #LeahStrong hashtag campaign a trending one throughout 2015 and into 2016.
