Dwayne The Rock Johnson sent a special video to FDNY Firefighter Matt McDevitt, who is battling cancer and started chemo Wednesday.

Matt was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his nasal passages. He had a successful surgery and made it out just in time to be there for the birth of his baby boy. Matt wore The Rock t-shirt during surgery and still on Wednesday as he starts chemotherapy.

The Rock felt inspired when he heard about Matt's journey and posted the video message to Facebook:

"We all draw inspiration from so many things out there in life. Matt McDevitt, we now inspire each other, but more importantly congrats to you and your wife, Jackie on your new baby boy. There's no role you'll ever play that's greater than "father". I know you got a fight ahead of ya with chemo and radiation so stay strong brother and eventually you gotta take that shirt off dude. Sweat turns to stink.
Thank you for being a fan. Thank you for a bad ass inspiration."
