Tractor-trailer crash closes portion of I-78 in Upper Saucon Township

UPPER SAUCON, TWP., Pa. (FOX 29) - A portion of I-78 in Upper Saucon Township is closed after a tractor-trailer overturned, leaving debris on the roadway.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday between Exit 60A - PA 309 South and Exit 60A - PA 309 South.

Police say the driver of the tractor-trailer somehow crossed from the eastbound lanes into the westbound lanes blocking all lanes of traffic on both sides of I-78.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. Another person in a vehicle behind him suffered minor injuries as well.

Commuters should expect delays in the area, please seek an alternative route.
