Vanessa Hudgens To Star in 'Grease: Live' Despite Father's Death

The father of Actress Vanessa Hudgens has died, according to Hudgens' own Twitter account.

Greg Hudgens, Greg, passed away Saturday night following a battle with cancer according to Hudgens.

"I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers," she wrote.

Hudgens, 27, rose to fame in "High School Musical" is set to play Rizzo in FOX's "Grease:Live" Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. EST.

According to another tweet from Hudgens, she plans to go on with the show, and her performance will be in her father's honor.
