VIDEO : Garbage Disposal Truck Explodes in Hamilton Township

Hamilton Township, NJ (WTXF) - Graphic footage shows a garbage disposal truck exploding on a residential street on Tuesday.

The incident happened at around 2p.m. along Fitzrandolph Avenue near Bow Hill Avenue in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.

Footage captured by Cindy Partyka, who lives a few doors down from where the incident took place, shows the smoke coming out of the truck as workers picked up trash in the area.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire, but not before tanks ignited causing damage to a few homes.

Residents quickly evacuated the area as more firefighters worked to get the scene under control

There were no injuries reported.

Officials are trying to determine what caused the fire.
