WATCH grandson of slave, 108, meeting President Obama

(WTXF/STORYFUL) - A 108-year-old man had a thrilling moment. He was able to shake hands with President Barack Obama.

"The grandson of a slave, shaking the hand of the president of the United States," Lester Townsend said to Mr. Obama.

The White House posted video of the two before the president delivered a speech in Indiana last Wednesday.

Obama couldn't believe Townsend was 108 years old, saying he lied about his age and he hopes he looks half as good when he's 100 years old.

Later, Townsend said he had to pinch himself to make sure the meeting was real.

By the way, President Obama - our nation's 44th president -- is the 19th to serve during Townsend's lifetime.
