'He got popped': Phillies fan who ran onto field flattened by security guard
A viral video shows a Phillies fan who ran onto the field being tackled by a security guard. Robert Dunphy shared the video on social media and recounted the moment with FOX 29's Greg Payne.
PHILADELPHIA - One Phillies fan let the excitement of Tuesday night's win go straight to their head - and he certainly paid for it!
Video photo captured the fan storming the outfield after the ninth inning, running past both Phillies players and Citizens Bank Park staff.
Moments later, a security guard rushes toward the fan, tackles him to the ground, and holds him there.
Robert Dunphy shared the video on social media after his wife captured the viral moment from the right field stands.
"I was like ‘Send me that’ and I just posted it on every platform I had, and instantly people were reaching out and like ‘yo can I share this'," Dunphy said.
And if you look closely, you can see the Phillies bullpen burst out in laughter.
