PHILADELPHIA - Withers is safe! A local animal shelter gave a relieving update after a dog was stolen from its crate on Monday.
"We are relieved to share that the individual who took the dog from the shelter was located," ACCT Philly said in a Facebook post.
The dog was reported missing after the shelter says a man came into ACCT Philly on Hunting Park Avenue and took the dog.
"Our staff were not able to stop him," the shelter said.

Surveillance footage showed the suspected thief walking into the shelter in a black hoodie and sweatpants.
On Tuesday, the shelter said the man was confirmed to be Wither's owner, and that the dog was safe.
"We are always glad when a dog is reunited with its owner. However, with over five thousand dogs a year coming into ACCT, it is critical that members of the public follow the process we have established for reuniting pets with their owners," ACCT Philly said.
