PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - If you had a hard time getting out of your warm bed this morning, you likely weren't alone as the first bitter chill of the season brought us near-freezing temperatures.
Freeze warnings were in effect for parts of the area Thursday morning with temperatures starting off in the 30s and 40s.
Don't expect a big mid-day heat up, as the high temperature for the day is only expected to be in the low 50s.
You can also expect that chill to return after sundown Thursday and into Friday morning where we're looking at a low around 40 degrees. Friday should be a little milder after the morning with highs expected to hover around 60.
