Weather Authority: Sunday 8 a.m. update

FOX 29's Drew Anderson has the latest weather updates.

Tuesday is the first day of Winter, and it will feel like winter this week across the Delaware Valley.

Temperatures will be in the low to mid 40’s for highs Sunday and we're stuck with the wind until sunset.

With little wind and clear skies, it will really get cold Sunday night. Most of the region will drop into the 20’s, while a few spots in the Lehigh Valley and Poconos will drop into the teens. The last time we saw weather this cold was back around Thanksgiving.  In fact, this is the first time Philly is in the 20’s this month.

The weather is quiet this week, which is what we like to hear on a holiday week. You're looking at a lot of sunny days and seasonably cold days in that seven-day forecast. Highs hang out in the 40’s or low 50’s all week. Christmas day looks dry, but we're keeping our eye for some showers Christmas night and the day after.
