PHILADELPHIA - Flood and severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect for parts of the area as powerful pop-up storms move through the region Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Chester County until 7:30 p.m. after heavy downpours. A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Atlantic, Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties.
FOX 29's Scott Williams reports there are several high water rescues in Chester County. Route 30 is currently shut down near 322 due to flooding on the roadway.
The Flower Show was forced to closed Tuesday afternoon as storms impacted the area. Guests with valid tickets for Tuesday, June 8 who were evacuated from the show grounds may use their Flower Show ticket for either session on Wednesday, June 9.

Temperatures are hovering near 90 in Philadelphia, with the suburbs in the upper 80’s.
True relief from the heat comes Thursday as afternoon thunderstorms should bring temperatures closer to normal, in the mid to upper 70’s, close to 80 for the remainder of the week.
