Kathy Orr updates the FOX 29 Weather Authority seven-day forecast

Cold and windy in the next few days equal lots of layers, so be aware of dangerous cold temperatures headed to the Delaware Valley.

FOX 29's Kathy Orr tells us Philadelphia’s high Wednesday reached 41, with temperatures similar across the region.

The cold air is waiting in the wings, with the core in Canada and is making its move to the area. Daytime temperatures across the Delaware Valley the next few days will range between 28 and 32 degrees for highs. Wind speeds will clock between 30 and 40 mph, with higher wind gusts. Wind chill readings will be in the teens. It will be colder at night.

Overnight tonight temperatures should drop to the upper 20s, but the wind chill Thursday morning will be around 19 degrees. Friday morning’s wind chill should feel as if it is 3 degrees and Saturday morning will feel like 2 degrees.

This is dangerous cold weather. Wear many layers, check on older neighbors and keep pets indoors.
