Weather Authority: Wednesday 5 a.m. update

FOX 29's Sue Serio has the latest weather updates.

After temperatures plunged overnight Tuesday, a low-pressure system is bringing rain and snow to parts of the Delaware Valley on Wednesday.

Low pressure moving in from the south and west is bringing the storm system.

Areas south and east of Philadelphia will mostly see rain while the areas north and west will see a mix of rain and wet snow.

Temperatures will remain in the 30s.

Indicators on radar show that the rain will get heavy at times as it moves through the area. FOX 29's Sue Serio is warning drivers about the dangers of hydroplaning and wet road conditions.

The rain will continue for most of the day but will be out of the area by the evening commute.

Looking ahead, temperatures will be slightly warmer Thursday and Friday before another storm system brings rain and snow on Saturday.
