Weather Authority: 10 p.m. Thursday forecast

FOX 29 Weather Authority 10 p.m. Thursday forecast.

Thursday was a beautiful day, overall, once the clouds from the overnight rain parted.

FOX 29’s Kathy Orr says record-breaking heat ramps up over the next several days.

Temperatures overnight into Friday will drop to the mid to upper 50s in most locations. Throughout Friday, temps will heat up quickly, making a run to mid 80s, with mostly sunny skies and humidity to accompany the ride into the heat.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible for the north and west of Philadelphia, into the Lehigh Valley, so anyone headed in that direction Friday afternoon should be aware of changing conditions.

Saturday should see record-breaking heat, with temperatures reaching the mid 90s, throughout most of the region. It’s a summer pattern and everyone should take care to stay hydrated, check on the elderly, keep pets cool and exercise early in the day.

Sunday will remain hot, with temperatures in the lower 90s, before thunderstorms break the pattern and cools the area off.
