Woman dies after house fire in Frankford: officials

FRANKFORD - A 30-year-old woman is dead after an afternoon fire at a house in Frankford.

Crews were called to the fire Monday afternoon, just after 4:15, on the 4600 block of Darrah Street, officials said.

As firefighters fought the blaze, they found the woman in a bedroom.

Medics pronounced her dead at the scene.

The cause of her death is under investigation, as well as the cause of the fire.
