Woman found dead in Bucks County home where high levels of carbon monoxide were detected: police
SOLEBURY TWP, Pa. - Investigators say high levels of carbon monoxide were detected at a Bucks County home where a woman was found dead, and a man was found unresponsive early Friday morning.
The Solebury Township Police Department says officers were called to the 6900 block of Phillips Mill Road around 6:30 a.m. after someone reported that an unresponsive man was found lying face down on the first floor of a detached guest house.
The unnamed 76-year-old was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital for treatment and is listed in critical condition.
Investigators said the body of a 76-year-old woman was found in a second-floor bedroom. Police have not released a cause of death.
Authorities later found elevated levels of carbon monoxide inside the home. Two medics and a police officer were treated for carbon monoxide exposure.
Investigators later determined a malfunctioning heating unit released the carbon monoxide into the home.
