Woman stabbed to death on SW Philly street: officials
SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - Tragedy on a Southwest Philadelphia street as a woman was violently killed Wednesday afternoon, out on the street.
A reward is being offered for information in the woman’s death.
What we know:
Philadelphia Police said they were called to the 2100 block of South 58th Street Wednesday afternoon, a little before 4 p.m., on a call for a stabbing.
When they arrived, they found the victim, an unidentified woman they believed to be in her late 20s, who had been stabbed one time in her chest.
Medics rushed the woman to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where she died from her injuries.
Officials say a weapon was recovered.
What we don't know:
An active investigation has been opened by the Homicide Unit.
Police say they don’t know of a motive and they haven’t made any arrests.
