Woman with Down Syndrome fulfills dream of becoming Zumba instructor

After taking her first Zumba class in 2008, Yulissa Arescurenaga knew she had found her life's passion.

The 24-year-old California native has Down syndrome, but Yulissa was determined to reach her goals.

In 2012, Yulissa achieved her dream of becoming a licensed Zumba instructor. She is the first person with Down syndrome to be a certified Zumba instructor.

Yulissa is considered an inspiration to those with Down syndrome and autism. Yulissa shows that with hard work and dedication you can achieve any goal.
