A hunter was injured after a wounded black bear rolled down a hill, and slid into him.
According to the Alaska Department of Public Safety, 28-year-old William McCormick and 19-year-old Zachary Tennyson were hunting Saturday near Carter Lake.
Either McCormick or Tennyson shot and killed the bear that was on a ridge above them.
That's when the bear rolled down the hill, dislodging rocks along the way. The 200 pound bear rolled into McCormick, who suffered life threatening injuries.
He was taken to Anchorage Providence. Tennyson was not injured in the incident.
