3 Sixers sidelined for season opener
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF/AP) - It's opening night for the Sixers, and the team will be playing at home at 8pm against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Unfortunately, the team will be without several players.
No. 1 overall pick in the draft, Ben Simmons, is sidelined indefinitely with a broken bone in his right foot.
The Sixers also won't haves the services of Nerlens Noel, the No. 6 pick in the `13 draft, who is out at least a month after surgery on his left knee.
Plus, starting point guard Jerryd Bayless is sidelined with a ligament injury in his left wrist.
The Thunder will also have a new look, but for a different reason.
Kevin Durant is gone so the Thunder are now Russell Westbrook's team.
