PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Longtime Philadelphia Eagle Brent Celek has retired after 11 seasons with the team, according to reports.
The tight end spent his entire career with the Eagles, helping them bring home their first Super Bowl Championship last season. He was released by the team in March.
At the time of the Eagles Super Bowl win, Celek was the longest tenured athlete in the city of Philadelphia.
Celek played college football at the University of Cincinnati and was a 5th round pick back in 2007.
He finished his career with nearly 5,000 receiving yards, 398 receptions, and 31 touchdowns.

Celek will shared a farewell letter on the Eagles website Friday morning recalling key moments in his 11-year career in Philadelphia and announcing his plans to become involved in real estate.
Celek reportedly drew interest from other teams, including the Detroit Lions, during his free agency, but ultimately decided to retire.
