Pederson: Foles to play Thursday following shoulder injury
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - The Philadelphia Eagles will be getting back one of their injured quarterbacks this week in their third preseason game.
Head Coach Doug Pederson announced on Tuesday that Nick Foles would be returning to the lineup Thursday night against the Cleveland Browns.
Foles, the Super Bowl LII MVP, suffered a shoulder strain when he was hit during last week's preseason matchup with the New England Patriots.
The team's starting quarterback, Carson Wentz, remains sidelined from game action as he recovers from a torn ACL he suffered in December.
Wentz has been taking part in 11-on-11 drills in practice this week, which has been considered crucial to whether or not he will be prepared for the team's opening game on September 6.
