Report: Eagles trade Torrey Smith to Panthers for CB Worley
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - The Eagles have reportedly traded wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for another player.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the trade on Friday afternoon.
The Eagles sent the 29-year-old Smith to the Panthers in exchange for cornerback Daryl Worley, a Philadelphia native.
Smith joined the Eagles as a free agent ahead of the Eagles Super Bowl run last season.
Worley, 23, was a 3rd round draft pick for the Panthers back in 2016, and has made 25 starts over the last two seasons.
Worley joins a young defensive backfield already made up of Ronald Darby, 24, Jalen Mills, 23, Sidney Jones, 21, and Rasul Douglas, 22.
Smith finished last season with 36 catches for 430 yards and 2 touchdowns.
