Report: McNabb Has Left Fox Sports

The bad news continues for former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.

The retired NFLer, who was recently sentenced to a short jail term following his second arrest for DUI in as many years, has resigned from his broadcasting job with Fox Sports, the network confirmed to the sports website Awful Announcing.

The former Eagle "submitted his resignation" to the network, according to a statement Fox Sports released to the site. McNabb, who worked both studio shows and in the broadcast booth for Fox and its sister cable network FS1, was suspended in July and hadn't made any on-air appearances during the current NFL season.

The 38-year-old McNabb remains on leave from his other media role, a radio show with NBC Sports.

Drafted by the Eagles in 1999, McNabb was the team's quarterback for a decade, leading them to nine playoff victories and a Super Bowl appearance in 2005.

Arrested for DUI in June, McNabb was sentenced to 18 days in jail earlier this month.
