PHILADELPHIA - Former Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is reportedly set to become the Philadelphia Eagles' next defensive coordinator.
Fangio will travel to Philadelphia on Thursday to officially sign with the team, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports through a league source.
The Eagles quickly found a replacement for former defensive playcaller Sean Desai, who lead a porous defense that contributed to Philadelphia's tailspin.
Fangio, 65, was defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins last season, and previously served as an Eagles consultant during their run to the Super Bowl in 2022.
A Pennsylvania native, Fangio graduated from East Stroudsburg University and was elected to the Northeast Pennsylvania Hall of Fame.
He served as head coach for the Denver Broncos from 2019-2021, and has made coaching stops with seven other NFL franchises.
