Philadelphia has declared a snow emergency as a powerful nor'easter is expected to wallop the region from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning, bringing snow that could pile up to nearly a foot. 

All six vaccine mega-sites will be closed on Monday, February 1st due to the storm.

The approaching winter storm won't mean a “snow day" for Philadelphia public school students, officials said. 

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for several counties across the Delaware Valley as a nor'easter is expected to bring measurable snow, along with rain and ice, starting Sunday. 

Temperatures to start on Saturday will remain generally in the teens to the low 20s by this afternoon. 

Conditions will be harshly cold to start the weekend with below-freezing temperatures and sustained wind gusts that will make it feel much colder. A snowstorm forecasted to arrive late Sunday night could bring measurable snow to the region to start the week.

Temperatures will continue to plummet over the next few days ahead of a developing nor'easter that could bring hours of significant snow to the area.

Some restaurant workers in Philly are optimistic about the storm that has the potential to bring significant snow to the area.
