Philadelphia nears 100 homicides in 2022, outpacing historically deadly 2021

Deadly violence continues to plague Philadelphia following a historically bloody year in which more that 560 people were killed. The latest data from the Philadelphia Police Department says that homicides in the city are up 8% from this point last year.
