Philadelphia weather: Coldest temperatures since January to kick off Christmas week

Staying inside with a fire and hot cocoa sounds like the best plan to ride out this bitter cold Sunday!

Temperatures started in the teens this morning, and will rise to a high of 32 degrees before dropping to the teens and single-digits overnight.

FOX 29's Drew Anderson says this is some of the coldest weather the region has seen since January.

Winds will start to pick up later in the morning to make for some blustery conditions for part of the day, until the wind dies off after sunset.

The sun will shine bright throughout the day, and into the start of the week as temperatures start to rise to a high of 40 by Christmas Eve.
