Philadelphia weather: Could snow fall twice this week?
PHILADELPHIA - From bitter cold to another snow watch, this week is really feeling like winter!
The FOX 29 Weather Authority has been tracking the possibility of snow this Sunday, but now the Philadelphia area could see some of the white stuff even sooner.
Timeline:
The first snowfall could arrive on Thursday, just in time for rush hour. Snow showers are expected across the region from 3 to 7 p.m.
The National Weather Service predicts a dusting for most, but 1 to 2 inches for parts of eastern and northern Pennsylvania.
Saturday rain will arrive in the late afternoon, before possibly turning into a light mix, then snow for the Poconos.
Sunday could bring an inch of snow to the Philadelphia area in time for the Eagles game at 3 p.m. However, it's still too early to tell.
What's next:
Forecasters are keeping an eye on the coastal low developing ahead of Sunday to determine how much snow could fall.
Following the potential snowfall, temperatures will take a nosedive next week with temperatures dropping to a high of 19 and an overnight low of 8 degrees on Tuesday.
