Philadelphia weather: More snow possible this weekend

Two snow storms in one week?

Monday saw several inches of snow dumped across the Philadelphia area, and it looks like another snowfall may not be far behind.

FOX 29's Weather Authority is keeping an eye on the possibility of more snow this weekend, but it all depends on the storm's track.

The European model predicts that the storm will stay offshore, while an updated American model has the track moving further away and more in line with the European model.

If the American model prevails, the Philadelphia area could be hit with a second round of snow on Saturday.

The FOX 29 Weather Team will track both models over the next couple of days to see if they come into agreement.

In the meantime, the rest of the week is going to remain bitterly cold. On Wednesday the high won’t make it to freezing and the winds will kick up around 10 a.m., with wind gusts hitting 30 or 40 mph at times, so the deep freeze remains. Thursday will be a repeat of Wednesday.
