Weather Authority: Wednesday morning forecast

Windy Wednesday with chilling temps in the 30s.

Will we see snow for the Eagles game? After a week’s worth of freezing temps, the FOX 29 Weather Authority is tracking the possibility of snow for the Birds on Sunday.

In the meantime, we are dealing with below-average temperatures and wind chills for the next few days.

Snow possible for Philadelphia area Sunday

Timeline:

Friday should be good, with temps in the 40s and most of Saturday should be fine.

Saturday night, around dinnertime, we should start to see rain moving into the area and a light mix changing to snow in the Poconos.

Forecasters are watching the potential of a coastal low forming on Sunday. It’s early, and the models disagree, but the European model has the system bringing an inch of snow in time for the Eagles game Sunday.

What's next:

In the 10-day trend, temperatures take a nosedive starting Sunday, bottoming out Tuesday the 21st, with a forecasted high of 19 and an overnight low of 8 degrees.

These are the coldest temperatures we have seen since December 24, 2022.
