PHILADELPHIA - It's a white Christmas Eve morning!
Snow is starting to fall in several Pennsylvania counties Tuesday morning, making for some festive, but potentially messy road trips for the holidays.
If you can wait a few hours before hitting the road, here's FOX 29's Tricky Travel Timeline:
- Right now: Snow in the Poconos and Lehigh Valley
- 7 to 8 a.m. snow and ice mix in Philadelphia and its suburbs
- 9 to 10 a.m. snowy mix in South Jersey
- Skies are expected to clear by noon
The Poconos and Lehigh Valley could see 1 to 2 inches of accumulation over the next couple of hours.
Philadelphia and its suburbs are likely to see a glaze of ice, which could make roads extra slippery through most of the morning.
However, the winter weather is expected to dry up with plenty of time for Santa to make his big trip, and will stay sunny for a cold Christmas Day!
