Weather Authority: Above-average temperatures start the week before a change to wintry conditions

Weather Authority: Monday 5 a.m. update

FOX 29's Sue Serio has the latest weather details.

February continues to bring mild temperatures that are above average, with four days above 50 degrees and three days above 60 degrees.

Tuesday's weather is no different, with temperatures projected to hit a high of 62. Rain in the west will make its way to the area bringing thunderstorms and rain.

Heavy showers will move through the area Tuesday night.

Colder air moving in on Thursday could bring frozen precipitation in the area on Friday morning that could cause a messy morning commute.
