Weather Authority: Winter weather attire required Tuesday night

It’s a hug your honey kind of night. Throw a log on the fire kind of night and FOX 29’s Kathy Orr says it’s going to be this way at least for the next 48 hours. So bundle up!

The high Tuesday in Philadelphia made it to 54, but expect temperatures to drop tonight. Overnight, the suburbs will be in the 20s, while Philadelphia should hover right around 32 degrees.

Wednesday will be a chilly one, with highs across the region only making it to the low to middle 40s, with mainly sunny skies.

As we inch closer to winter, it's only going to be getting colder with a hard freeze possible on Thursday morning. Thursday's forecasted low is just 26 degrees.

A warming trend is on the horizon after Thursday and, on the bright side, we can expect plenty of sun this week.
