PHILADELPHIA - Tuesday night into Wednesday, the arctic chill returns, with a northwesterly wind component. A cold front came through Tuesday night, bringing with it the cold Wednesday.
Temperatures will drop overnight into the lower 20’s and mid-teens across the Delaware Valley, while falling to the single digits further north into the Lehigh Valley.
Conditions will continue to remain chilly and dry Wednesday as a wind chill makes it feel colder. Wind chills will begin in the single digits and the teens before only getting slightly warmer as the day progresses.
The remainder of the week should be quiet and cold. Friday morning should see a light snowfall unrelated to a coastal system approaching the northeast.
The focus is on that coastal storm brewing in the Atlantic that will arrive Saturday. Meteorologists are keeping a watch on the system and determining its path.
There is a definite snow possibility for the Delaware Valley, but no firm conclusion as to amounts. That will be determined as the week advances.
