PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia area is slated for a sunny Wednesday with bitter cold temperatures.
Near record low temperatures are expected Wednesday evening. Winds should be light and variable.
The temperature dipped to 23 degrees at Philadelphia International Airport early Wednesday, breaking a record for the date set in 1996.
The bitter cold won't last much longer, as high temperatures on Thursday are expected to be in the 40s in most areas and could reach the low 50s on Friday.
