Weather authority: 10 p.m. Thursday forecast

FOX 29 Weather Authority 10 p.m. Thursday forecast.

Thursday was a cloudy, but comfortable day, though most could feel humidity creeping in.

As the Delaware Valley starts the Memorial holiday weekend, Friday will start muggy and mild as low dip to the mid 60s. The FOX 29 Weather Authority team is tracking slow-moving drenching downpours and scattered severe storms Friday afternoon and evening. Flash flooding is a possibility based on training storms.

Anyone planning to head for the shore Friday should do so early, as the possibility for severe thunderstorms throughout the region ramps up Friday afternoon, by about 2 p.m., or so.

Wind gusts up to 60 mph are also possible with these storms, as well as isolated hail and frequent lightning. An isolated tornado can't be ruled out.

The possibility of some leftover showers exists for Saturday, though it won’t ruin anyone’s overall holiday plans.

Temperatures Friday through Sunday should top out in the mid 80s, and as the week begins, the temperatures climb higher.
