Man, 23, charged with rape in Bensalem

BENSALEM, PA (WTXF) - A 23-year-old man has been charged in Bensalem for Rape by Forcible Compulsion, along with ten additional charges.

Just after 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, Bensalem Police received 911 texts from a woman who said she was sexually assaulted. She explained to police that she was still in the bedroom with the suspect and was unable to leave. Police were able to locate the victim via the FPS on her phone and took her to safety.

Further investigation revealed that Christopher Henneghan punched the victim in the head and choked her. He returned with a steak knife and used it to threaten her, forcing her to perform sexual acts.

A warrant was issued, and Henneghan was taken into custody by Bensalem Police with the assistance of the FBI and Collingdale Police.

Henneghan has been sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on ten percent of $10 million bail. He faces the following charges:
