Medford Police say man attempted to lure 11-year old into truck

MEDFORD, NJ (WTXF) - Police in Medford, NJ are looking to identify a man who attempted to lure an 11-year old boy into a truck on Monday.

The incident happened at approximately 2:45 p.m, an 11 year old juvenile left Cranberry Pines School on his bicycle traveling east on Fairview Road.

An unidentified male subject parked in a black pickup truck on the side of the road commented to the juvenile who was traveling past.

The juvenile continued to ride his bicycle, became scared when the vehicle began to slowly follow. After arriving home, the juvenile notified his parent and subsequently contacted police.

Detectives are attempting to identify the subject who was described as:
-- Middle-aged (mid 40's)
-- White / Male
-- Almost bald or buzz cut (no hair color)
-- White t-shirt containing yellow stains
-- Double chin and overweight
And operating a:
-- Pickup truck (2 door), possible a Toyota
-- Flat black paint
-- White license plate
-- Vehicle appeared "beat up" with no obvious dents or distinguishing characteristics.
