Mom Charged With Child Neglect After Toddler is Found Wandering Streets in a Diaper

(INSIDE EDITION) A North Dakota mother has been charged with child neglect after her young daughter was found wandering the street in only a diaper, according to officials.

Police in Burleigh County say 35-year-old Helen Price arrested Monday after her toddler was found wandering earlier that morning.

The blue-eyed little girl, believed to be two or three years old, was in pig tails and alone and demonstrated minimal verbal skills, according to Burleigh County Social Services.

The agency put out a public call for help to identify the girl before her mother was later identified, reports WDAY.

Price was picked up by the Bismarck Police Department and charged with child neglect.

Price was awaiting a bond hearing Tuesday afternoon.
