Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on North Broad Street: police

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred Sunday night. 

According to police, the crash occurred near the 3900 block of North Broad Street. 

Medics transported a 56-year-old pedestrian to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition. 

He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 7:34 p.m.

This is an ongoing investigation.
