Photo of heroic moment at a Memorial Day fire scene goes viral

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A photo went viral of heroic moment at a Memorial Day fire scene.

The Inner Loop Legion Post in Bridesburg went up in flames four days ago. Many things inside burned, but a pair of flags remained.

Firefighter Kevin Walter saved the flags, that represented so much on the symbolic day for the nation.

"If I didn't do it, one of my other firefighters from Philadelphia would have done it," said Walter.

Walter comes from several generations of firefighters. His father and two brothers fight fires in Feederville.
